As an independent family run business, we pride ourselves on putting customers at the heart of everything we do. Along with our sister company Hackworthy & Sons, we have been providing storage and removal solutions in Plymouth for over 40 years.
After setting up and running Hackworthy & Sons removals for over 20 years we decided that the growing trend towards self-storage could give our customers a flexible storage option where access to their effects was easy. So, in 1999 we set up Plymouth Self Storage. The company has grown and now manages over 70,000 sq ft. of lettable space across two sites in Plymouth.
Over the years we have introduced extra services with the aim of making a busy time hopefully a little less stressful for our customers. Quality packaging materials and boxes are sold at both our sites so customers have all the equipment required to prepare their effects for storage. We also offer van hire through Practical Car and Van Hire, based on site, vans can easily be collected and dropped off by our customers for their move into storage.
Still owned and managed on a day to day basis by 2nd and 3rd generation family members and a small dedicated team you can be assured our customers and our work are important to us.
Plymouth Self StorageCentral Plymouth Site
Our Central Site is managed by Vicky Hackworthy and has now been operating as a self-storage site for over 18 years. This site is conveniently located just a few minutes from the City Centre next to Faraday Mill Business Park which makes it particularly valuable to our business customers.
Both the Central Site in Plymouth City Centre and the East Site have been professionally converted into secure units ranging from 10 sq ft up to 300 sq ft offering a vast selection for customers. Access systems and CCTV monitor the warehouses to safeguard the security of our client’s effects
Plymouth Self StorageEast Plymouth Site
This site is expertly managed by Pete Risk. The site is easy to access as it’s just minutes from the A38 on the Langage Business Park in Plympton. With 35,000 sq ft of lettable space and offices to rent this site offers easy access to customer living on the outskirts of Plymouth as well as in the South Hams.
